• The tour starts from the Hummingbird Highway with a 30-minute drive in an open air 4 x 4 Transport Vehicle to the 5 Blues Lake National Park.
  • A Safety Briefing is completed with participants at the start of the hike. Hike 45 minutes through lush jungle enjoying the sun light and sounds of wildlife with a chance of seeing howler monkeys and different species of birds in the upper canopy.
  • The Five Blues Lake Canyoneering explores an amazing canyon cave system with spectacular features such as towering canyons covered with air plants penetrated with sun beams through the jungle. As we enter the Duende Cave system, we explain about the use of these systems by our ancient ancestors Mayas.
  • Enjoy unlimited Kodak moments! The total time spent in the cave is approximately 1 hour.
  • After exiting the cave, we hike through lush jungle for 30 minutes followed by snack refreshments, then we get ready and kitted for some lake rafting and swimming
  • This amazing adventure is all within the Five Blues Lake National Park! you think you’ve discovered all there is to see in tiny Belize, there’s always a new National Park, which has been gaining popularity in the last couple of years Just when undeveloped spot to explore. This happens to be the case with Five Blues Lake despite being established since the 1990s. Named after the five different shades of blue that make up the lake, this 4,250-acre national park is ideal for hiking and swimming and is easily accessible off Mile 32 on the Hummingbird Highway.

What to Bring/Wear:

  • Snack Bars and (2) two liters of water
  • Day Pack that can get wet (does not need to be waterproof)
  • Tennis shoes or hiking boots (participants will get wet, feet and toes must be protected)
  • Long pants and long sleeve shirt (quick dry preferably)
  • Insect repellent
  • Extra pair of dry clothes (stays in pick up vehicle)
  • Cameras must be waterproof with hand straps or floatable attachment
