- Tour Description
Nestled at the base of the majestic Maya Mountains, this incredible cave system invites you on an unforgettable journey into the heart of ancient Mayan mythology and pristine jungle. Your adventure begins at Nohoch Cheʼen National Park, where a moderate 25–30-minute nature hike leads you through lush rainforest as your guide introduces you to the local flora and fauna. Then, it’s time to descend into the world of Xibalba, the Maya underworld. Float peacefully along the crystal-clear river for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, winding through cathedral-like caverns filled with ancient rock formations. As you drift beneath towering stalactites and stalagmites, your expert guide will bring the cave’s rich geological features and deep Maya history to life.
